Reva is another name for the River Narmada – one of India’s oldest and most revered rivers. Flowing from the heart of central India to the Arabian Sea through Gujarat, the Narmada has, for centuries, been more than a river. It has been a source of life, culture, movement, and connection.

The name Reva itself carries a beautiful history. Ancient scriptures describe the River Narmada as Reva because of its swift, leaping movement over rocky terrain. The name is believed to originate from the Sanskrit root rev, signifying rapid movement or flow. Entire sections of revered texts such as the Reva Khand of the Skanda Purana and the Vayu Purana celebrate the river’s spiritual and cultural significance.
The symbolism resonates deeply with us. Just as the river continues its journey despite every bend, communication too must remain dynamic – finding new paths, crossing boundaries, and reaching people wherever they are.
The Narmada also reflects something we value immensely: connection. As India’s longest west-flowing river, it links diverse landscapes, languages, traditions, and communities before meeting the Arabian Sea. In many ways, our work follows the same path. Rooted in Gujarat yet working across regions and audiences, we believe that every story deserves to be understood, regardless of the language in which it is told.

Founded by Dr. Khyati Purohit Shah, a communication professional with a PhD in Hindi (Journalism), Reva Communications brings together academic depth, creative thinking, and multilingual expertise. Working fluently in Gujarati, Hindi, and English, we approach every project with one simple belief: language should never become a barrier to understanding. Every language carries its own rhythm, emotion, and cultural context, and our role is to preserve that authenticity while helping stories reach wider audiences.
